PLACEHOLDER — NOT LEGAL ADVICE. These terms are a draft for a private prediction competition and should be reviewed by a qualified legal professional before final publication.

1. Nature of the Competition

Foreca (the "Competition") is a private football prediction league run amongst friends and acquaintances for the FIFA World Cup 2026. It is operated on a not-for-profit basis and is not a commercial gambling operation. All entry fees collected are pooled and redistributed to participants as prizes.

2. Entry Requirements

Participants must be aged 18 or over at the time of registration. Each participant must register an account and provide accurate personal details. One entry per person.

3. Entry Fee and Payment

The entry fee is €50, payable by bank transfer or Revolut to the nominated administrator account. Entry is only confirmed once the administrator has received and verified payment. Entry fees are non-refundable once confirmed.

4. Prize Distribution

The total prize pool is the sum of all confirmed entry fees, distributed according to the prize structure published on the Jackpot page. Prizes will be paid by bank transfer within 7 days of the conclusion of the tournament final.

5. Predictions and Scoring

Scoring rules are as published on the "How To Play" page and form part of these terms. The administrator may score additional bonus events at their reasonable discretion.

6. Deadlines and Late Submissions

All match predictions must be submitted before the published kick-off time of the relevant fixture. Lines close automatically at kick-off and no late submissions will be accepted under any circumstances. It is the participant's responsibility to submit predictions on time.

7. Administrator Rights

The administrator reserves the right to disqualify any participant found to be cheating, attempting to manipulate the platform, creating multiple accounts, or engaging in misconduct. Disqualified participants forfeit any entry fee and prizes.

8. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute regarding scoring, eligibility, prize distribution or interpretation of these terms, the administrator's decision is final and binding.

9. Data and Privacy

Personal data provided at registration is stored securely and used solely for the operation of the Competition. Data will not be shared with any third parties for marketing or any other purpose.

10. Limitation of Liability

The Competition is run in good faith on a best-efforts basis. The administrator accepts no liability for technical failures, downtime, data loss, missed deadlines due to platform unavailability, or any consequential losses arising from participation.

11. Changes to Rules

The administrator reserves the right to make reasonable changes to these terms or to the scoring rules during the Competition, with reasonable notice given to all participants by email and on the website.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
